Sixty years since its Broadway debut, our June 2026 production of Sweet Charity follows the New York City adventures of the ever-endearing Charity Hope Valentine… but not quite how you remember it.
In a world suspended between the Lavender Scare and the Stonewall Riots, Heirlume’s Sweet Charity reimagines this classic through a new lens; infusing its beloved characters and legendary score (‘Big Spender’, ‘The Rhythm of Life’, ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’) with a queer love story and a tale of self-acceptance.
With your support, we will provide our ensemble with the financial stability of a guaranteed fee independent of additional profit share that relies on ticket sales. We will showcase our proudly diverse ensemble in this queer forward season.
